Bilt Cards

The only major card family built around earning points on rent, with no transaction fee.

About Bilt

Bilt exists to solve one specific, longstanding problem: renters typically can’t earn credit card rewards on rent at all, since most landlords and property managers either don’t accept card payments or charge a processing fee steep enough to wipe out any rewards earned. In a major early-2026 overhaul, Bilt retired its original single Wells Fargo-issued card and replaced it with three new cards issued by Cardless — a no-fee option and two higher tiers with real annual fees, each earning rewards on rent or mortgage payments differently than the original card did.

Bilt also runs a recurring promotion called “Rent Day,” typically offering double points on point transfers to airline and hotel partners on the first of each month — worth planning transfers around no matter which card in the lineup you hold.

A Bilt Card Is a Good Fit If You…
  • Currently pay rent or a mortgage and get zero rewards value from your single biggest monthly expense
  • Are comfortable with the new earning structure, which generally ties uncapped housing rewards to spending a meaningful amount elsewhere on the card too
  • Are comfortable timing bigger point transfers around the monthly Rent Day promotion for extra value

Worth knowing upfront: if you own your home outright with no mortgage, this card family’s core benefit won’t apply to you the same way — it’s worth comparing directly against a general-purpose card from Chase, Amex, or Capital One instead.
