The Bilt Palladium Card is the premium tier of Bilt’s new three-card 2026 lineup, carrying a genuine $495 annual fee alongside a real welcome bonus, Gold status, and Priority Pass lounge access — a significant step up from anything Bilt offered before this year’s relaunch. This review covers whether the numbers actually work out in a cardholder’s favor.

Terms current as of this writing (July 2026), following the January 2026 relaunch. Bilt Points are currently valued by TPG at approximately 2.2 cents each — the highest of any major transferable currency. Always confirm current terms directly with Bilt before applying.

This is the first time Bilt has offered a card with a real welcome bonus and lounge access — a genuine departure from the brand’s original, more minimalist identity as simply “the rent card.”

The Welcome Offer

New Palladium cardholders can earn 50,000 Bilt points plus Gold status after spending $4,000 on everyday purchases within the first 90 days — at TPG’s current 2.2 cents-per-point valuation, that’s worth roughly $1,100 in travel value. Separately, approved applicants also receive $300 in Bilt Cash, of which up to $100 can roll over into the following year rather than expiring.

Earning Rates

  • 2x points on everyday purchases, excluding rent and mortgage payments
  • Rent or mortgage earning with no transaction fee, subject to the same 2026 spend-threshold structure across the whole lineup

Notably, Palladium’s everyday earning rate is simpler than Obsidian’s category-based structure — flat 2x rather than picking a specific 3x category — trading some targeted earning potential for straightforward simplicity plus the elevated welcome offer and status perks.

Credits & Other Benefits

What’s Included
  • Priority Pass lounge access — the first time Bilt has offered airport lounge access on any of its cards
  • Bilt Travel hotel credits
  • Annual Bilt Cash allotment, with up to $100 rolling over each year
  • Gold status from the welcome offer, unlocking elevated benefits within the Bilt Rewards program itself
  • No foreign transaction fees
  • 10% introductory APR on purchases for the first 12 billing cycles

The welcome bonus and $300 Bilt Cash alone are worth more than the $495 fee in the first year for anyone who clears the $4,000 spending requirement — the real ongoing question is whether the Priority Pass access and 2x everyday earning justify the fee in year two and beyond.

Who This Card Is For

  • Renters or homeowners with significant monthly housing payments who also travel enough to value Priority Pass access.
  • Anyone who values Bilt Points highly — at TPG’s 2.2-cent valuation, this is genuinely one of the most valuable transferable currencies available, making the welcome bonus especially strong.
  • People comfortable clearing a $4,000 spend requirement in 90 days to actually capture the full welcome offer value.

Worth considering Obsidian instead if you’d rather target specific dining or grocery spending with a lower fee, or Blue if you don’t need lounge access or a welcome bonus at all and just want the core rent/mortgage earning at no cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Bilt Palladium Card’s $495 fee worth it?

The welcome bonus and $300 Bilt Cash alone typically exceed the fee in year one for anyone who meets the spending requirement. Ongoing value in later years depends more on whether you’ll actually use Priority Pass lounge access regularly.

Is this the first Bilt card with lounge access?

Yes — Priority Pass access is new to the Bilt lineup with Palladium, something no previous Bilt card, including the original Wells Fargo-issued Bilt Mastercard, ever offered.

Does Palladium earn more than Obsidian on everyday spending?

Not necessarily — Palladium earns a flat 2x on everyday purchases, while Obsidian earns 3x on your chosen dining or grocery category. If your spending concentrates heavily in one of those categories, Obsidian may actually out-earn Palladium day to day, even at a lower fee.
